Who Are EEP
The Early Earth Protectors are a youth group of children based in Chippenham, Wiltshire who are involved in a variety of environmental projects around the town and occasionally further afield.
What Do the EEP Do
- Manage an area of land alongside Baydon's meadow with the kind permission of Chippenham Borough Lands charity to promote wildlife and permaculture principles and provide an outdoor gathering place for young people
- Distribute wildflower seeds and blue heart signs as part of the BLUE campaign for wild gardens
- Conduct litter picks in the town parks and other public spaces
- Arrange ad hoc courses for young people to learn about permaculture and local history - for example the recent course led by Milly Carmichel
- Join in citizen science activities like the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch
- Raise money to promote environmental causes through fundraising activities at local fairs and making bids for local charitable and council funding
- Campaign for greater awareness and prioritisation of environmental issues including meeting local MPs and making video presentations to Wiltshire County Council
